Hosted words vs. Processed words

Processed Words charges for every active operation performed on your text (such as file imports, API syncs, or AI tasks).

For example, translating a 500-word file into 10 languages permanently burns 5,500 processed words (500 source + 5,000 target) from your allowance, compared to only 5,000 words in the Hosted Words model. Plus, unlike hosted words, deleting the file does not restore your allowance.

Crowdin streamlined our translation process with a tight GitLab integration. By automatically presenting new strings to our community for translation, we're able to save time and get our community engaged quickly. The integration also allows us to immediately present new translations in a new merge request when they get approved by our community proofreaders, helping us integrate new translations quickly.
